After a student gets accepted to the university, the student is invited to come to Student Orientation, Advisement & Registration (SOAR). SOAR is for new students to get comfortable with the campus and get an idea of where everything is. Another advantage to SOAR is that a student meets other students that are potentially going to be in the same major as them. When you first arrive to the campus you get to get your picture taken with the mascot, and get a name tag. Once you have a room assigned to you, you get assigned a group based on the number on your name tag. Once you are in your groups you go on a tour of campus and see different things and play games with the people in your group to get to know them. That night they have a party, photo booth, and you spend the night on campus that same night. The next morning you are busy making your schedule for the coming fall.
